Mauritius Appoints First Woman President

Mauritius has appointed Ameenah Firdaus Gurib-Fakim as its first woman president today,  Thursday, 4^thof June, 2015 after her predecessor stepped down from the ceremonial position last week. It is the first time in the history of Mauritius that a woman will become President. She just made history!
